Families in their homebuyer program purchase a decent, safe, affordable home with the help of grants, donations, and volunteer labor from Habitat Buffalo. Families are required to complete 500 hours of “sweat equity” towards the construction and purchase of their homes and must attend budgeting and first-time homebuyer classes. Habitat Buffalo's ReStore Program supports its mission by accepting donated appliances, furniture, and building materials, which are refinished and used in Habitat houses or sold through their retail locations.
